So Im only 22 weeks, but I feel like since now Im more than halfway through, I am really approaching my due date fast. I still dont even have my own apartment, or car. I dont even have my full Medi-Cal insurance yet. I am not working. Nor have I had any luck getting a job. Most of all I have bought some baby clothes, I feel like I have a good amount and I will get the majority from my baby shower. Speaking of baby shower, thats on December 2nd. Which is so soon seeing as how its already going to be October. I cant believe this is going by so fast.

I am so excited and making the most out of what I have at my fingertips. Im trying to get the big things out of the way. And I feel like everything else will fall into place. I am a very resourceful person, and I always find a way.

Almost 22 Weeks: What Ive Learned So Far

1. Motherly Instincts - I wasnt sure if this was real, if it happened before you have a baby or what. I am so much better around babys, and they dont cry with me, I suddenly know how to hold them and care for them. & I also have this urge to clean and organize everything.

2. Common Discomforts - Back & chest pain, and shooting pains in my lower belly. Along with cramping and nausea. I was really worried about the shooting pains and cramps, but my doctor said its normal to happen when I move around. Even tho it hurts like hell. I was just worried about my baby boy tho.

3. Having to pee every hour. Sometimes I just dont want to leave the bathroom cause I know Ill be right back in there in 45 minutes. & If Im drinking water at that moment, Its more like 20 min.

4. The difference between feeling him move and other bodily things. My friends have felt him move a little bit if they hold their hand there for a while. Its cool to feel that, other than hearing his heartbeat, makes me feel like hes really in there.

5. Last thing, that he can hear. My baby can hear my voice, he can hear the tv if its up at a normal volume, and music. :) Thats my favorite. Lets me know that he’ll know what hes coming out to. & he will know my voice.

I cant believe Im more than halfway there. I still cant imagine being a mom, never saw this coming for me, but I know I will be great and I love him already. <3
